Joost Web TV

What is Joost?

In a nutshell, Joost is a web TV that has more than 150 channels and many other TV shows are also available on demand. Yes, you need to download a Joost software which is about 9-12Mb (can’t really remember) but trust me that is some Mbs you’ll never regret downloading. The video streaming is pretty impressive too! I never thought it will not lag off my slow internet connection.

What do they have in Joost?

There’s seriously too much in Joost to list down, perhaps I’ll give you print screens of some of the channels.

This will definitely revolutionalize how we watch TV program if Joost can ‘broadcast’ only copyrighted material. If they can do that big corporation will get on board to provide program and more user/viewer use it, a network effect will soon feed on itself. Not sure how will the ISP take that huge increase of traffic for their equipment and bandwidth will take, think Joost should share some profit with them. I would really like to test on the program if you can send me an invitation. Thanks!

I just moved in to a new apartment and I have no cable so I’m stuck with broadcast and rabbit ears. I really miss my old routine of CNN and FoodNetwork. Oh and I was amazed at how expensive Cable packages are right now ….since its no longer part of my rent. So HELP! I would love to try out Joost and see what online TV is like. Thanks.
