Here it is, no more Apple and AT&T. Folks at iPhoneSIMFree.com has managed to unlock iPhone; this means if you iPhone is unlocked, you can use it with SIM card of any telco. Engagdet has a video that showcase their unlocked iPhone running on T-Mobile SIM card.

iPhoneSIMfree has not release their software yet, but I’m pretty sure it will not be free. If you are living outside US, you are now possible of using iPhone, provided that iPhoneSIMfree releases their unlock software.

I don’t think Apple will unlock their iPhones in US, AT&T will not be happy about it. If you want to buy an iPhone here in Malaysia, you can. When the unlock software is released, you can be the first one walking in Malaysia with an iPhone.

I think someone have unlocked the iPhone in Malaysia. Unfortunately, currently, they only managed to unlock it with DIGI. I suppose the will be able to unlock it for Maxis and Celcom users.

That truly is something. whenever the price does come down on the iphone or the next release series is released i may purchase one. for now i’m sticking with the blackberry pearl.. has better features and price tag imo
