Not working for me ....

Am trying to replace the really crummy peerguardian icon ... if that makes any difference. I'm not a novice, so I assume there must be something preventing this from happening.

I closed the app, incase that helped ... it didn't. I notice that when I copy the new icon, it copies ok, but when I select the peerguardian icon and go to 'edit', only 'copy' is available ... as if nothing has been copied to the clipboard. But If I try to copy anywhere else it works fine. Its like somethings preventing me from pasting the new icon. Anyone else experienced this?

To restore an icon back to default just do Get Info on the chosen app/folder,click the icon at the top as you do when replacing an icon, and press delete :)

how to restore the mac original icons if i ever did the same as u taught( File -> Get Info,Edit -> Copy,File -> Get Info, Edit -> Paste )? as I found that if i use candybar to change icons, the folder icon that i've changed earlier using ur methol (as the way u said above) wont get to change, yet i've to manually change it again.

how to default the icons setting? and where is the default icons folder in mac os x?

You can just highlight the icon again like this, and do Edit>Cut and it restores the original icon.

No, just select the custom icon and then select Cut from the Edit menu. The default icon will be restored.
