MSN® Hotmail® has silently upgraded their mailbox capacity from 250mb to 1G and that is only the beginning. An article I read somewhere (can’t remembered) it says Hotmail will continue adding it’s mailbox capacity once the transition to Windows Live Mail is complete. And I think the transition should be completed, I’ve recieved a 2G free storage capacity in my Hotmail® now. So I guess they are back into the competition. Here’s a rundown of free mail provider with the free space given (up to date as article was written)
- Yahoo! (1G)
- Hotmail (2G)
- Google Mail (2.G and counting)
- Walla Mail (3G)
- Lycos Mail (3G)
- Yahoo! China (3.5G)

2GB of mail is massive. Whats the point of keeping so much junk? The interface is much more important that the quantity you can hold.
