Discover AdSense’s New Transparency Features by Google

Those who rely on Google’s AdSense are probably well aware that the platform itself isn’t very forthcoming when it comes to dealing with violations. In fact, AdSense has been rather infamous for pulling all ads from a website when the page incurs a policy violation.

However, Google is looking to rectify those problems by introducing two new changes to the AdSense platform.

First change that Google is looking to implement into AdSense is page level policy actions. Unlike the current method of removing all ads from a webpage, Google is fine-tuning AdSense so that it may remove ads on selected pages that have incurred a policy violation. Pages that do not have any violations will be able to continue serving their ads as per normal.

Site-level ad removals will still be present in the platform, although those will only be reserved for severe violations. Finally, Google has also mentioned that they will terminate publishers that constantly violate AdSense’s policy.

Moving on to the second change, Google has announced that the company will be launching a new Policy Center within the coming weeks. The Policy Center will make AdSense more transparent, giving AdSense publishers access to information such as page-level action data as well as step-by-step instructions on how to resolve policy violation-related issues.

Interestingly enough, Google has also mentioned that the Policy Center will also be made available on other publisher platforms, although the company did not specify which ones.
