When you do not use GA they calculate the PR of your site based on traffic and number of links pointing to your site (and many other complex unknown variables), but when you use GA they do not have to rely on those things much because you are giving them access to your traffic logs. And from these logs they can determine exactly how much of PR your site really should get. I had the same experience, after putting GA in one of my sites, the PR of my site decreased by 1 (strange)... Again, it's my opinion only, there is no hard facts on this...
