Desktoptwo is a web-based desktop that functioned almost the same like your normal desktop, except that its virtual, and its free. Now if your computer crashes, you are basically still good because your desktop is elsewhere.


Sign up is free and you get 1GB of space for virtual hard disk. Applications like Mail, Address Book, My Website Editor, Blogs, IM, MP3 Player, Office Programs, Message Boards, RSS Reader, etc are pre-installed.

Other features like sharing files with another desktoptwo users are also achievable. The only drawback I see here is – it operates fully on flash so not really suitable for pcs with slow internet connections.
