it seemed at first that there were a few steps missing, but I found that it was my error, not the tutorial’s. There ARE things assumed, and yes, this would not be for someone first getting into PhotoShop.

This is amazing, we’re incorporating this into our new website design which is currently being created from the ground up.

But we’re stuck on whether to go for the design as shown on this page or the design shown here:
http://www.boxedart.com/Tutorials/Photoshop/Tabbed-Web-2_0-Web-Page-Navigation.php

VERY similar, the only difference really, being the fact that the unselected tabs are rounded and separated.

Very cool. Thank you. I have been wanting to create a cool effect I have seen elsewhere, something I refer to as a “drop cut” effect in which there is this large tab type area that drops from the top of a page and seems to cut into the page itself (example at ncaa.com – see the top of the page).
