Another reputable site just got hacked and defaced. CSSRemix.com is probably one of the top site that showcase good Web 2.0 HTML/CSS websites. When I pay the website a visit today, I saw nothing but a spider logo and couple of text written by Turkish hacker named beyrut. Sigh.
Here’s how the real CSSRemix looks like before defaced.

Such a shame, i went to use the RSS feed and it said “Live Bookmark Feed Failed to Load”, so i checked out the site and then saw what had happened.
When did it get hacked?

I noticed it yesterday. I hope they are fixing it by now.

The hack is caused of the usage of ready php-scripts. In the scripts is included malicious code from another webserver (I guess!). With some parameters like fsock() he’s able to replace files on another webserver.
This hacker is not unknown! So please check your downloaded php-scripts for malicious code…
