Chitika launched their version of In Text Advertising last week, named as Chitika Linx, but its beta and its still invitation based. I’m sure all online money makers are very familiar with in text advertising. It’s the kind of ads that markup your text/content and shows small ads when readers hovers it. Chitika Linx is a CPC ad, this means you earn when user clicked on the ads. Not everyone is a fan of in text advertising, especially when it blocks content around it and potentially affects readability. I’m personally okay with it.
Here are few other ad networks that offers similar in text advertising you probably might want to take a look at:
- Kontera ContentLink
- Intellitxt
- Adbrite Inline ad, and now
- Chitika Linx
It has come to my notice that even Darren Rowse is not in the invitation list, I wonder who is.I’m currently using Kontera ContentLink and I’m quite satisfied with the earnings so far; Intelltxt requires minimum 500,000 page views/month before you are eligible to join; Adbrite’s inline ad isn’t really generally used. Let’s see how well Chitika Linx will do :-)

Chitika is definitely a good option when considering In text ads but you guys should also consider shopping with Kontera, VibrantMedia, EchoTopic and Amazon Context Links. They all seem to be running smooth as well. I recommend reviewing each one of them and than choosing one to go with.
