Google’s webmaster console has just been updated with new a feature, now you can check your website’s backlinks as well as download backlinks listing in CSV format.
Where do I find this feature?
I’ll assume you have a Google Webmaster Tools account, else sign up here.
Under Links tab, you will find 2 new extra links:
External links – Pages on your website that have links pointing to them from other sites.
Internal links – Pages on your website that have links pointing to them from other internal pages.

are the links listed in google webmaster tools the same as the links that will be included in the back links that show up when you do a “link:domain.com” search in google?

stacy: yeap, but google webmaster tools shows you both internal and external links.

in webmaster tools it shows i have 276 links but when I do a link:domain it only shows 2 backlinks. Do I have to wait to the next back link, pr update to see results?

Thanks for this post. I am confused though as webmaster tools says i have 30 links but when i do a independent check of links on other link tools they say i have no google links. how can that be? can anyone help?
