I think the reason that these ads haven't been used is that they all unfortunately look the same. Without the names above them, it would be easy to believe that they were all done by the same person. Most of them are looking like the artist got a quality picture of the product and then utilized the "fantastic light effect" photoshop tutorial I've been seeing all over the place lately. These designs are getting really old, I wish we could return to simplistic stuff now. Or somethimng entirely new, whichever comes first.
